A handful of these companies offer both hardware and software packages that can be bought or downloaded for free, while several others charge nominal licensing fees for their ECG recording modalities.

What Are Some Features of Mobile ECG Monitoring? The primary features of most modern smartphones are capable of carrying out basic ECG monitoring functions. However, some phones, like Google Android Sensor, are capable of gathering more detailed information, such as; real-time measurements of respiration rate and heart rate, electrocardiograph (ECG) readings, and even measurements of skin temperature. These devices may also be capable of gathering readings from several different sensors to aid in evaluating external stimuli.
